Overview

Our internal medicine specialists care for patients with a variety of conditions affecting multiple parts of the body. By using advanced technology to gather data, studying clinical signs and lab results, and discussing symptoms with you and your primary veterinarian, our internal medicine service provides expert insight and treatment for your pet’s condition.

Diagnostic Testing & Procedures:

  • Advanced laboratory testing
  • Diagnostic Imaging – radiography (x-ray), CT scans, MRI
  • Endoscopy – bronchoscopy (lungs), cystoscopy (bladder & urethra), colonoscopy (colon), gastroduodenoscopy, (stomach & upper intestines), rhinoscopy, (nasal cavity)
  • Incisional biopsies of masses, internal organs, or bone marrow
  • Transurethral laser ablation for treatment of ectopic ureters

Evaluation of illness such as:

  • Anemia, bleeding disorders
  • Chronic vomiting or diarrhea
  • Respiratory problems
  • Endocrine disease (adrenal gland diseases, complicated diabetes, thyroid disorders)
  • Infectious disease
  • Immune-mediated diseases
  • Kidney or bladder disease
  • Liver disease
  • Unexplained weight loss
