Dr. Runey grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She studied design at Philadelphia University prior to becoming a graduate of Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Beavs!). After receiving her veterinary degree, Dr. Runey went onto complete an emergency, exotic, and zoo internship at VCA Valley Animal Hospital and Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Runey’s furry family includes a Black lab/Border Collie named Rhino, a Treeing Walker Hound named Griffin, two black cats named Aviva and Phoenix, and two guinea pigs named Jester and Duke.
